House of Bricks, Miniature

About the Miniature:

The House of Bricks miniature was inspired (in part) by my dad. For my senior art exhibit in college, I had made a life-sized version of this same piece (see additional pictures). After my show, my dad was gracious enough to store the pig house in his garage for me, and ended up sitting there for years.

Finally, he asked me if I still wanted it, which I didn’t. We decided to just throw it away. My dad loved the pig house when it was in the show, as we all did, so I decided to make this miniature for him.

Some Specs:

The miniature is made from 3mm basswood, cut with a laser. The graphics are my own drawings, which I repainted to match the original, full-sized versions.

The model has 4 LED lights, powered by 2 AA batteries (not included), and has an on/off switch on the back.

The dimensions overall are 6.2 inches wide by 7.7 inches tall, and about 3 inches deep (including switch and battery pack).

Please note: I make these by hand and don’t keep any kind of stock. If you would like one, the build time is about one week.
